To whom it may concern:
In 2004, we contracted with Arthur Rutenberg Homes to build a two-story waterfront home in Tarpon Springs, Florida. This was the beginning of a two-year working relationship with Dan Lewis. Dan was instrumental in the early concept stages, helping us to decide between elevating a single story home or building a two story home in our flood zone. He provided a cost analysis that communicated clearly that for additional expense, we could double our floor space without doubling the price. His pointing out this possibility paved the way for the current home which we immensely enjoy.
Dan shepherded us through the extensive and complicated pre-construction process. He advised and directed us in making plan changes, recommended options and alternatives, and respectfully kept us from making mistakes. His ability to visualize in three dimensions from two-dimensional drawings was in invaluable tool in refining a concept plan to final construction drawings. Our site had several complicating issues, ranging from the selection of appropriate septic systems to subdividing property. Dan's wealth of knowledge and perspective of the project were invaluable in overcoming significant hurdles.
While supervision of the construction of our home was initially performed by another, Dan assumed site control of the project at about the half-way point. Dan had been responsible for the administration of the project up to that point, and then assumed control of the entire scope of activity. Due to the fact that we lived in another home on the same property while the new home was being built, Dan met with us daily to review progress, plan the future, and attend to our every concern. He paid attention to detail, and quality was his end-goal.
At the end of the process, another talent emerged that we would rather not have needed. Through a code interpretation by the city, they claimed that the stairs were not correctly built. Dan pursued resolution of the conflict by meeting with city code officials, assembling a body of evidence, and presenting the case for an appeal. He was most helpful to us in resolving this highly stressful situation, as the city was basically demanding partial demolition of a finished home. Dan brought us to the appeal and handled the entire affair, and to a successful conclusion. We got to keep the home that we wanted.
We would recommend Dan to you as a highly intelligent builder with an emphasis on ethics, responsibility, and building a beautiful home.

I want to recommend Dan Lewis for any construction project. My wife and I had a complete kitchen remodel in our downtown condo. He resolved difficult construction and design issues. The quality of his work was fantastic. He finished the job in a prompt manner and cleaned up completely at the end.. He did design, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall work. We left a key and came back to a beautiful kitchen.
Dan is a fantastic guy who provides the best remodeling services. We will definitely use him for our next project.
Thanks Dan,
